General Questions and Answers
Sequencing of samples on average takes 1-2 months from sample arrive in the lab.
Data processing and analysis highly depend on the type of data and questions at hand. Results for microbiome profiling of up to 400 samples profiled using 16S rRNA gene sequencing is usually delivered in about 2-3 weeks from data arrival, depending on the working queue and sample compliance.
Processing of shotgun data or Biomarker detection projects will in most cases take longer, and require more time for communication of results.
What determines our quoting price?
Bioinformatic analyses or communication that are in addition to that specified in the accepted quote can be requested at an hourly rate. Please contact us here for more details.
How does the data transfer work?
Clients will receive an email with login information.
Upon login clients can see project folder(s) – one folder per agreed project. Each folder will contain a read-me.txt file and folders for data at different steps of processing. The read-me.txt file describes the intended content of each folder. In all project folders there are minimum two folders: “data_raw” and “data_support_information”.
We ask clients to transfer their raw sequencing data to the “data_raw” folder. Please upload the data as demultiplex sequencing data. Further, we ask clients to upload a file listing sample IDs of all samples in the project (e.g. a txt, csv, tsv file) and a file with information on used primers to the “data_support_information” folder.
