Conducting a microbiome project include a number of practical considerations.

  1. Samples must be collected, stored and transported in a way that does not introduce unnecessary bias to the microbial community.
  2. The samples must be labeled and tracked to avoid any confusion and enable matching of microbiome data with the relevant metadata.
  3. And data must be shared in a safe and comfortable way.

We have inhouse procedures and guides available to facilitate easy project planning and execution. Please refer to the Information tabs and below text, and do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.

Microbiome profiling at BiomCare

Please see the Services/From A-Z page for a step by step introduction to a microbiome project as it progresses in collaboration with Biomcare.

Logistics

The specific logistical considerations that will apply for you depend on several factors such as where you ship samples from and which services you wish to use. Therefore, we will send you shipment and other practical informations once we have a plan and signed sales agreement.

We used BiomCare to analyse faecal samples collected in a project assessing the role of diet in the development of the infant gut microbiota in Peru.

We felt supported throughout the project by BiomCare, with Louise and the team going above and beyond to assist with any queries. We were provided with regular updates on the status of our analysis and all communications were clear and timely.

The data was presented within accessible reports, making the results easy to interpret. We would strongly recommend BiomCare for any microbiome analysis.
